From the department of "did you see this?"

What with everything that’s been going on here in the past month (we just released Life|ware 2.0.4! We’re partnering with AVAD!) I have sadly neglected the blog. I’ll try to get some news up soon, but in the meantime–DID you see this?

Homeowner Offers Crestron System on Craigslist for $8,000

Basically, the homeowner feels that his system is much more than he needs. He knows that it can be configured to do much more than just distributing audio around his home (its current use) but he can’t program it, and he DOESN’T WANT TO PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO DO SO.

So he’s ripping out a $30,000 system, putting it up for sale for $8,000, and he’s going to put in a DIY system that he can program himself.

What’s the lesson here?
