What’s New on the U? UDI!

Over on Life|ware University, there is a new advanced course available to registered dealers on using the Universal Device Interface feature in Life|ware.

The UDI allows you to bring non-Life|ware compliant devices into the Life|ware experience by using a Global Cache GC-100 adapter. it is a critical piece for dealers with customers who want to integrate their existing DVD players or (gasp!) VCRs. Conceivably, you could even use it to integrate a Betamax or 8-track. (I say conceivably because we haven’t actually done that, to my knowledge. It would be totally sweet though.)

Anyway, I took the UDI course today and was able to implement via UDI on the test machine the documentation department has. To get to the course, click Advanced Courses on your Life|ware University home page.
